The range is below the Hillsdale dam next to the spillway. Class may be in the training building. If you do not have a Kansas State Park vehicle permit on your car, inform the gate attendant that you are here for the hunter education class. If arriving before open hours, pull in and park at the first parking locations on the North end of the Range. ADA compliant facilities.

Class Notes: Students must complete the online portion (NRA Learning Portal) of the hybrid class prior to registering for this field day. Bring a screenshot or the printed Field Day Qualifier certificate to the class.
Instructor Notes: The field/trail walk session will be as much like an actual hunt as possible. Students may live fire .22LR, Air Guns, 20 Gauge Shotguns, and Archery. Hearing and Eye protection will be provided, or student can bring their own, but must be approved by instructors. The class is outdoors so please dress for the weather.
All class items are provided including firearms, targets, ammunition, eye, and ear protection. Students can wear their own eye and ear protection after instructor approval. There will be a $5 usage fee per student paid to the range at the start of the class unless you are already a member of Hillsdale Range.
