¡Ven a celebrar el aire libre y pasa el día aprendiendo y explorando con nosotros en Vamos a Pescar!
Acompáñanos en el Prophet Aquatic Research & Outreach Center (PAROC) el sábado 29 de agosto de 9:00 a.m. a 1:00 p.m. para disfrutar de Vamos a Pescar, un evento gratuito y familiar enfocado en la pesca, la diversión al aire libre y la conservación de la naturaleza. ¡Este año celebramos el 10.º aniversario de VAP!
Ya seas principiante en la pesca o todo un experto, este evento tendrá algo para todos.
Los visitantes tendrán la oportunidad de aprender técnicas de pesca, conocer reglas y regulaciones, explorar temas de seguridad en el agua, practicar tiro con arco y otras actividades de cacería, disfrutar manualidades relacionadas con la naturaleza, caminatas y muchas otras actividades educativas interactivas.
¡Nuevo este año! Tendremos una competencia de pesca con premios para los participantes.
También nos acompañará Homegrown Coffey Truck durante toda la mañana ofreciendo café, té y bebidas boba a la venta.
Este evento es posible gracias a la colaboración entre Emporia Public Schools – Migrant Education Program, What’s In Outdoors, Hispanics of Today & Tomorrow, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks y PAROC. Además, habrá regalos, recursos gratuitos y divertidos premios para los participantes.
¡Para cerrar el día, habrá camiones de comida en PAROC comenzando al mediodía!

Whether you’re new to fishing or a seasoned angler, this event offers something for everyone.
Join us at the Prophet Aquatic Research & Outreach Center (PAROC) on Saturday, August 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Vamos a Pescar, a free, family-friendly event all about fishing, outdoor fun, and conservation! This year is the 10th anniversary of Vamos a Pescar (Let's Go Fishing)!
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn fishing techniques, understand rules and regulations, explore water safety, learn archery and other hunting practices, enjoy nature crafts and hiking, and participate in many more hands-on educational activities.
New this year to the event is a fishing competition, with prizes!
The Homegrown Coffey truck will also be present all morning, selling coffees, teas, and boba. To wrap up the day, there will be food trucks at PAROC beginning at noon!
A collaborative effort between the Emporia Public Schools- Migrant Education Program, What’s In Outdoors, Hispanics of Today & Tomorrow, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks, and PAROC, this event also features giveaways, free resources, and fun prizes for participants.
