Traditional Hunter Education Course
Multi-Day Course (must attend all days):
- Wednesday, September 15, 8am-5pm and
- Friday, September 17, 2026, 8am-5pm and
- Sunday, September 19, 2026, 8am-5pm
(class does not meet on Thursday 09/16 or Saturday 09/18)

The course consists of subjects covering hunter responsibility, ethics, fair chase, history of firearms, firearms basics, ammunition, basic gun safety, field safety, bowhunting, conservation and wildlife management, wildlife of Kansas, outdoor emergencies, Kansas hunting regulations and boating safety for hunters.
Where possible, students may live fire and/or go through simulated hunting conditions.
