Kanopolis State Park is accepting applications for volunteer seasonal maintenance position available for the camping season. This would be open for an individual or a couple. We are looking for hardworking and dependable individuals available for up to 25 hours per week/50 hours per week for a couple. Schedule will vary depending on duties from May through September but include most if not all weekends including Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.
Duties
- Clean public restrooms, shower houses, vault toilets and shelters. Assist cabin hosts with cabin cleaning.
- Operation and Maintenance of equipment to include riding mowers, UTVs, and other small equipment.
- Must be able to effectively operate a pick up, mower, pressure washer, weed eater, hand tools and small power tools.
- Chemical Application on campground pads and other surrounding areas is a possibility.
- Help maintain a clean and professional work environment.
- Greet patrons with a friendly and courteous attitude and portray a positive image of KDWP.

Minimum Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Must comply with department rules and regulations.
- Must pass a background check. All members of the volunteer family that reside in the park must pass the background check.
Benefits
Campsite with utilities (water, electric and sewer hook ups.) This site is limited to 2 person(s) and 1 camping unit, personal vehicles and a boat or jet skis etc.. The campsite must be kept tidy.
