In 1989 Michael Brzon deeded a 320-acre Republic County farm to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism through the WILDTRUST program for the purpose of providing a wildlife area to be used by all people whom enjoy the Kansas outdoors. The area was a working farm with both cropland and pastureland. The Brzon Wildlife Area is managed under special conditions to allow quality outdoor experiences.

Upland and big game hunting is by special permit only during the season. Special Hunt applications are available through the KDWP Special Hunt program. The Brzon Wildlife Area is located in an area of the state that normally supports a good population of both bobwhite quail and ringneck pheasant and excellent dove shooting can be found in early September.

Brzon Wildlife Area is located north of Belleville, KS from the intersection of US Hwy. 36 and 81, eight miles North and 4 miles West on Fir Road.
