The wildlife area is bisected by Duck Creek, a tributary to the Elk River. The area has 100 acres of riparian and associated habitat, and adjacent areas have been planted to trees and native grass. A small marsh is located on the area and fishing in the creek is provided during wet periods. Management focuses primarily on deer, turkey, upland and small game.
