Free Park Entrance Day, Free Fishing Day & Annual Youth Fishing Tournament-Glen Elder State Park

Glen Elder State Park will have free park entry, free fishing and a free Youth Fishing Tournament on June 6, 2026. Information about all three of the events are as follows:

  •  Secretary Kennedy has designated several park-specific Free Entrance Days that align with local events and programs designed to engage families, outdoor enthusiasts, and newcomers to Kansas state parks.  Camping fees still apply.
  •  Free Fishing Days will be June 6 and 7, 2026. On those days, anyone can fish by legal means without a Kansas fishing license. Length and creel limits remain in effect.
  • For more information about the Youth Fishing Tournament, please contact Paul Stockebrand at 785-545-3345.
